Worth finishing.

I think this song is worth finishing: finishing and the editing. I think that there should be a little more than the drums ,synth, and the 3x Osc. To give the song a real feel, I think there should be a background harmony... you know what I mean?

Hey, what did you automate? I noticed you learned how to use automation clips, so I got curious =)

Did you use SimSynth with Fruity Fast Dist? Just wondering =)

gamerworld14 responds:

No, i used fruity filter for my automation clips and that was all. I dont think i used SimSynth, but i know i used Sytrus and FPC. On Sytrus, the bass beat was 'cerbera saw'. Hope this helps a little bit =D

How the music and vocals fit together

The music is really fun ad interesting, but... something ruined it all.

The vocals.

It would do good to kinda change around the music to give it more "spice", then repost it without the vocals.

Nostrap responds:

listen to some pearl jam, then listen to this. hopefully you will understand the joke then.

Interesting.

The song itself if pretty interesting to listen to. In the beginning, where the guitar first begins, I think you could've tweaked it a little more because at some notes the guitar seems "jacked up". But, nice job. Simple song, simple beat, but it's still something.

Thanks for the comments!

Impressive Work!

You did a really nice gob, erm... MrMilkCarton. I really like the fact how there are parts to the song, or "emotions", as you call it. I also liked the great usage of FX effects on channels... you did a real great job on that. I was quite impressed by the seemless transition between parts of the song. I must say, the blending of all the channels fitted together very nicely. And for the intro... did you use the pad "Air Chorus"? It does sound very much like it... one more thing. Some part near the middle of the song sounds a lot like a song named "{Osc} Enlightment". Did you get the melody/idea from that song? I think you did a splendid job overall. Hip hip hurrah. Around 1:55, what channel and FX effects did you use? Cuz it sounds great. Keep them coming, milk man. =)

Mrmilkcarton responds:

To all your questions a simple no. I didn't base any of my melodies off anything they are just based off a left and right hand that came to me. I never heard of (OSC) Enlightenment till right now as I listen to it. I don't really hear any similarities to the song at all but maybe my ears just can't hear it. When I make a song the only thing I base my song around is my transitions and how songs I like change from sound to another. As far as the Pad, no, air chorus isn't the pad, the pad is a nexus pad. At 1:55 I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about, my lead just has reverb, compressor, delay, and an equalizer on it and settings I tweaked myself.

Glad you enjoyed it, if you have any questions or anything else give me a PM or Instant message and I'll get back to you on it.

Nice song... couple of comments

I really like the song (especially the guitar melody). I think that the song itself had a nice tune... it just needed some more "spice". I think it could've had some more action and background instruments than the guitar and drum. A few questions too: what channel did you use for the guitar? When you said that you won't have the demo much longer, do you mean you're buying the full version? In the title, "Atmospheric Pressure (DEMO)", what do you mean by "DEMO"?

gamerworld14 responds:

well, what i mean is that im not getting the full version yet, but i will only have the demo open for a little while longer. The DEMO means that the song isnt complete yet and i was wondering if i should finish working on it. So i still have the song open...that is what i meant. I just used the slayer channel and then used a trance like sound on it.

Nice job with the production... but...

I think you did a real neat job with the sound effects and basic music positioning =) it's just that the song won't be that "great" if there's no... I should say... "difference". What I mean is... the song will sound too repetitive if you simply repeat a calm "chorus" but adding and positioning effects. Within the mail melody of the song I think there should be more "spice" to it by adding more channels and more background sounds. It's kinda like in a song... there's the chorus and the breaks in between. Despite the similarity in the music, I liked the tune =). If you had the full version, I probably would've asked you for the .flp save file just so I could "remix" or "spice up" your song. Great job, Gamer_World14. I like your song =)

gamerworld14 responds:

yep, i know this one is really repetitive. took me long enough to review this lol... 8 months!
